Risk disclosures
Derivatives are not suitable for everyone. Please read these before you trade.
1. You can lose more than you expect
Futures, perpetuals and sold options are leveraged. A small move in BTC can cause a large loss, and positions are liquidated when your margin runs out.
2. Liquidation
If your equity falls to the maintenance margin, positions are reduced automatically at market prices. In fast markets the loss can exceed the amount you set aside for a trade.
3. Selling options
A sold call has unlimited potential loss. Option selling is only available once you pass the suitability assessment for it.
4. Funding
Perpetual positions pay or receive funding every hour. Over time this can add up.
5. Volatility and outages
BTC prices can move very fast. Trading may be halted during extreme moves or technical problems, and you may not be able to close a position at the price you want.
6. Auto-deleveraging
In rare cases, when the insurance fund cannot cover a bankrupt position, profitable positions on the other side may be reduced.
7. Taxes
Gains may be taxable. TDS is deducted on transfers of BTC where the law requires it. Ask a tax adviser about your situation.
